xdebug setup

Quick way

sudo apt-get install php5.6-xdebug

Long Way

copy output of
$ php -i | xclip
<?php phpinfo(); ?>

paste into

Follow the instructions on that site after you submit

$ wget http://xdebug.org/files/xdebug-2.2.4.tgz
$ tar -xvzf xdebug-2.2.4.tgz
$ cd xdebug-2.2.4
# install apt-get install php5-dev for phpize to work
$ phpize
$ ./configure
$ make
$ cp modules/xdebug.so /usr/lib/php5/20090626+lfs

or one command setup
$ sudo pecl install xdebug

Edit /etc/php5/apache2/php.ini or /etc/php5/apache2/conf.d/xdebug.ini
Edit /etc/php5/cli/php.ini (for phpstorm interpreter)

zend_extension= [extension provided in xdebug.org]

for phpstorm interpreter to work you need to determine what is the “Loaded Configuration File” and paste the [xdebug] code in aswell (Loaded Configuration File => /etc/php5/cli/php.ini)
$ php -i | grep php.ini

restart webserver

if using port 9003 because I believe fastCGI is using 9000

PHPSTORM 7 setup
Firefox add-on:
The easiest Xdebug
JetBrains Firefox extension 0.6.0

File -> Settings -> PHP

File -> Settings -> PHP -> … (next to the interpreter input)
(debugger will only show if you edit the /cli/php.ini)

File -> Settings -> PHP -> Servers

File -> Settings -> PHP -> Servers -> Validate Remote Environment

File -> Settings -> PHP -> Debug

Run -> Edit Configurations

Create javascript debug

Make sure the listener is on

Run the javascript debugger then its going to ask to install the firefox add-on but it will only work after you restart your computer.

Also make sure you set a break point and that break point is at a point in page it can arrive because if an error the page will terminate without arriving at the break point.

Generated xdebug bookmarklets with idekey in the site as PHPSTORM
added to firefox bookmark ‘start debugger’
click on the bookmarklet ‘start debugger’ while in my ‘localhost’ site

Android Impression i10 tablet hack list

Impression i10 tablet

Hard reset/factory reset impressions i10

Download .apk app files

installing android market/google play

finding Device ID

root device (I selected psneuter on the exploit)

trying to update firmware:
I tried to update it to 4.01 and brink it (broke it). The tablet wouldn’t boot anymore, it would only stay on the impression screen. I believe the error was in the version of the sdfuse I downloaded. When trying to upgrade to new firmware (power and volume up button) the first two of loading boxes were filled with white and then green for the next following boxes but it wouldn’t fill the last long box then it would shut down (the screen goes black). Then I downloaded a different sdfuse (used an sd micro reader to open it on my conputer).
Now when I tried to upgrade, the same boxes appeared but they were all filled completely with only green and then auto shutdown (black screen). Then it started to work. In the meanwhile while doing all this I also did factory reset (camera + power button). I don’t know if factory reset had any thing to do with it working.

Arduino on Breadboard troubleshoot, the importance of Capacitors

I have an Arduino on a breadboard and having an issue with the voltage on the digital pin 13 outputing an low voltage when connect to a volt regulator.  Why is this happening? because when the breadboard is connected to an Arduino UNO power that is connected to the same power supply it works perfectly fine.  See images and descriptions below.  Thank you for the help.

Power wires are connected at the bottom of the breadboard

Arduino on breadboard
Power Jack
9v – 300mA Power
L7805CV 5voltage regulator

Arduino Code:
Set to output LIGHT ON on digital pin 13

The voltage on the rails when breadboard is connected to power is 5 volts

The voltage on digital pin 13 when connected to power is 0.370 volts (why?)

The voltage on the rails when connected to arduino power is 5 volts

The voltage on digital pin 13 when connected to arduino power is 4.74 volts

Why is the voltage on digital pin 13 not the same when connected to an Arduino Uno Power to an Power supply using a voltage regulator?

Its very important to add a electrolytic capacitor to the input and output caps of the voltage regulator because this will help SMOOTH out the ripple the battery pack/regulator is putting out.

I only added a 22uF electrolytic capacitor to the rails and it worked.  See picture below.

Titanium Appaccelerator error fix

Error when trying to open Titanium: Your project contains error(s), please fix it before running it

This can be caused by an out of date “Debug Certificate” fixed as follows:

Delete your debug certificate under ~/.android/debug.keystore (on Linux and Mac OS X); the directory is something like %USERPROFILE%/.androidon Windows.

The Eclipse plugin should then generate a new certificate when you next try to build a debug package. You may need to clean and then build to generate the certificate.

XAMPP troubleshoot

XAMPP on linux ubuntu stopped working I belive it was because I
ran the python barebones server script. While XAMPP was running I
would go to http://localhost and the page wouldn’t load. So I tried
to restart xamp
$ sudo opt/lampp/lampp restart

I received this error message

(20014)Internal error: Error retrieving pid file logs/httpd.pid
Remove it before continuing if it is corrupted.

so I deleted the logs/httpd.pid file, restarted LAMPP and it started to work again

>Server showing IP address in URL?

>To link the domain name to your server the A (address) at the DNS site (eg. namecheap.com) needs to point to your public server IP address. Recently I was having an issue with my site because when I typed baligena.com it went to the site however when I click on a link it would be replace by my IP address in the URL. It’s funny when you call for tech support its a waste of time because this shit is too advanced and they won’t be able to help you. What I figured out it wasn’t the domain name nor the server that was causing this error but WordPress. WordPress has an option to specify your site URL.

>Installing Kdiff3 version control mergetool for Git

>kdiff3 is a great GUI mergetool for git. However the installation is more tedious in Windows compared to Linux. Below is instruction on how to install it in Windows.

Download and install program:

Add kdiff3 as your Git mergetool
From Git Bash, run
$ git config –global merge.tool kdiff3

Open the file repository/.git/config
and paste the code below

    tool = kdiff3
[mergetool "kdiff3"]
    path = C:/Program Files/KDiff3/kdiff3.exe
    keepBackup = false
    trustExitCode = false

git mergetool kdiff3 windows
kdiff3 mergetool is not available
better than vimdiff

>Chrome is Pissing me Off

>I’ve been programming lately and this week I had Google Chrome web browser not work correctly. I was using jQuery JSON and AJAX, and tried to view a webpage source and these three instances didn’t work in Chrome but worked perfectly in Firefox. I don’t know if the issue is because I’m using it natively on my desktop to test, I hope it is. Chrome is a good browser to surf the internet but not the best to test your code. Imagine the frustration of coming to a conclusion that a code doesn’t work but later finding out it works because chrome doesn’t work when using local files. That’s a bunch a BS.

I would say “I hope they fix that” but I’m going to do what I can control. I’m switching to Firefox.
